The Toronto Blue Jays have added to their infield by acquiring Darwin Barney from the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Barney was a 2012 Gold Glover for the Chicago Cubs in the National League and he is expected to start for the Jays in New York today.
The 29-year-old was picked up by Toronto just a day after star shortstop Troy Tulowitzki was injured in a doubleheader with the Yankees.
Barney has a .245 batting average in 566 major league games.
