Peel police are arresting one man in connection to a shooting that happened earlier this year.
According to officials, on Feb. 13th, a man was shot after a fight broke out at a home on Cindy Crescent in Mississauga. Several shots were fired through the front door of a home, and a male victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
In May, police arrested a a 21-year-old Mississauga man in connection to the incident. He was charged with Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence, Robbery and Counselling an Indictable Offence.
Police issued an arrest warrant for the man who they believed was responsible for firing the weapon. Authorities learned the suspect had fled to Jamaica, and worked with law enforcement to facilitate his return to Canada.
On Friday, police arrested 22-year-old Michael Wilson, of Mississauga, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. He’s facing charges of attempted murder, and is pending a bail hearing at a Brampton court.
