In a recent poll, Canadians are split on whether to place the blame on ISIS, the Syrian government, or someone else, when it comes to the Syrian refugee crisis.
31% of the people polled said that they blame the Islamic State, 31% blame the Syrian government, and 29% of voters were registered as blaming another entity for the reason behind the recent mass exodus. The research company, Mainstreet Research, has stated that he 29% represents the people who do not entirely blame either ISIS and the Syrian government, but a combination of the two, as well as exterior forces.
Prime Minister Stephen Harper made a commitment to bringing in more Syrian refugees, at a recent press conference. As the discussion of the refugee crisis heats up, many people are stating that Canada’s best way to get involved is by making the process easier for resettling refugees.
