Toronto Conservative candidate Jerry Bance says he “deeply regrets” his actions after he was caught urinating in a homeowners coffee mug while working as a home repair man.
The footage was filmed by CBC for their program Marketplace in 2012 as part of an investigation into the ethics of home repair companies.
In the video, Bance is seen peeing into the mug, then dumping it into the homeowners sink.
A spokesperson with the Conservative Party says Bance is no longer a candidate in the east Toronto riding of Scarborough Rouge Park.
Bance has since released a statement, saying “I deeply regret my actions on that day. I take great pride in my work and the footage from that day does not reflect who I am as a professional or a person.”
Naturally, the internet responded appropriately with #peegate:
