A woman in her 50s was rushed to hospital Wednesday afternoon after being stabbed in the chest.
Police say they were called out to Moss Park in the Queen Steet East and Sherbourne Street around 12:45 pm.
They located the victim, conscious and breathing, but she was bleeding heavily from the chest in what they’re calling an unprovoked attack.
The suspect, who has yet to be apprehended, has been described as a male, black, mid-40s, 6’1″ and 200 lbs. He was wearing a white T shirt and black pants.
Around 10 p.m., police made an arrest in connection to the stabbing, but officers say the suspect is still outstanding.
An arrest was made in the area where the stabbing in D51 occurred earlier, but he is not the suspect. That male is still outstanding.^GL
