York Region Police are charging a Boulton woman in connection to a fraud investigation.
Officials say the woman allegedly defrauded her former employer of more than $1.2 million dollars.
The suspect is accused of providing false documentation and credentials to obtain a position at an accounting firm in Vaughan. She was employed by the company between August 8, 2008 and March 31, 2014, during which time she wrote cheques to herself from the company’s accounts to pay off personal debt and other expenses.
43-year-old Anna Carnevale is charged with the following:
Fraud Over $5,000
Theft Over $5,000
Utter Forged Documents
She’s scheduled to appear in Newmarket court Thursday, October 1, 2015.
