It may be back to school season, but summer weather seems to want to stick around.
Environment Canada meteorologist Geoff Coulson says Toronto hit 32.7 C at Pearson Airport on Wednesday afternoon, surpassing the two previously hottest days of the season so far.
However, Coulson says it’s no where near the hottest Sept. 2nd on record, which was set in 1953 at 36.7 degrees Celsius.
As for the week ahead, temperatures will be hovering in the high 20’s until the labour day weekend, where they’re supposed to go back up to 30 degrees, feeling warmer with the humidity.
Environment Canada will be confirming tomorrow if it was in fact the hottest day of 2015 so far.
