A frustrated Florida State University graduate has turned to eBay for some assistance.
Stephanie Ritter was a student at FSU from 2007-2011, and earned a Bachelor of Arts in… Theatre.
She’s willing to sell it to a lucky individual in exchange for $50,000.
She claims that it’s in mint condition, and will even through in a tour of the university and look at her post-secondary experience and memories via her Facebook posts.
She also promises that her piece of paper is virgin, having never actually been used to get a job.
“I thought this piece of paper has so much worth to so many people, but for a theater major, it couldn’t mean less,” Ritter told BuzzFeed. “I’m doing the exact same things and probably getting paid the exact same amount as people that dropped out halfway through freshman year, except I’m still $40,000 in debt and they’re, well, not.”
Do you sympathize with Ritter? Did you earn a diploma or degree after years of study and thousands of dollars, only to land a job without having to flash that fancy piece of paper? Is today’s youth wasting their time obtaining these worthless titles that seem to accumulate more debt than success?
