On a day where the cost of distracted driving via the “Making Ontario Roads Safer Act”, or Bill 31 went up, authorities had to deal with numerous accidents in the GTA.
York regional police investigating a four vehicle crash in Vaughan.
One person was airlifted to hospital in serious condition after a string of collisions at Rutherford Road and Pine Valley around 2:00pm.
In Thornhill a truck collided with a car. One person to hospital in what has been described as a critical condition.
The crash happening at around 2pm at the intersection of Steeles Avenue and Don Mills Road.
Meanwhile a sewage truck spewed it’s contents all over a Newmarket intersection. The vehicle was hit near Yonge and Green Lane.
It’s not know if distracted driving were the cause of any of the incidents, as the investigations are still incomplete. There were no injuries.
And a Transport truck rolled at Derry Rd and Airport Rd. No injuries on scene. Peel region did have to close Southbound Airport Rd and Westbound Derry for an investigation and clean up.
