Police are warning the public after a large number of Fentanyl patches were taken from a business in the Church Street and Queen Street East area.
Police say 14 to 20 boxes of fentanyl were stolen with each containing five patches. It happened on Thursday around noon and they say the patches could be harmful and/or fatal, especially to children.
Anyone finding the medication is asked not to handle it, but to contact police or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
Fentanyl is a synthetic opiate narcotic that is 50 to 100 times stronger than morphine, heroin, or oxycodone.
