Toronto Fire has put out a two-alarm fire at an apartment building in the city’s east-end.
Flames broke out on the 7th floor at 444 Lumsden Avenue near Main Street and Danforth Avenue around 6:00 a.m. Friday morning.
Captain Dave Eckerman tells Talk Radio AM640 News that one person was rescued and brought down to paramedics on the ground floor.
According to Toronto Medics, the victim is an adult male in his 70’s who suffered smoke inhalation. He is believed to be in critical condition.
The flames were reportedly sparked by something in the kitchen of the apartment.
