Toronto fire crews are currently on the scene of a two-alarm fire in Kensington market.
There are currently 45 fire fighters and 12 trucks on the scene at Fitzroy Terrance and Kensington Place.
Thick plumes of smoke have engulfed the skyline above the city’s downtown core and the smell of the blaze is spreading across that area.
There are reports that people were jumping out of windows on the second floor of the building where the fire was sparked.
No word on injuries at this time, but Fire Captain Mike Strapko says he believes all occupants were able to exit the building safely.
