A suspect wanted in a fatal shooting from earlier this month, has surrendered to Police.
On Saturday at 1:05 a.m., Mohamud Abdiwal Dirie, 25, of Toronto, surrendered to police at 23 Division. He was charged with First-Degree Murder.
27 year old Kabil Abdulkhadir was killed around 2:45 a.m. on Sunday, August 9th outside of the Marriott Downtown Eaton Centre Hotel at Bay and Dundas.
Officers have arrested 20-year-old Abdullahi Alifarah in connection to the shooting. He’s being charged with Accessory After the Fact to Murder
A third male is also wanted on outstanding warrants of arrest for other serious offences that pre-date the shooting. 25-year-old Hassan Abdulle an associate of the deceased. His warrant’s are unrelated to the shooting, however, officers allege Abdulle returned gunfire at the suspect as they were driving a blue Hyundai Elantra following the shooting.
A motive for the shooting isn’t being released, but police say it was due to a “pre-existing” dispute.
