The Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation (OSSTF/FEESO) says that a tentative agreement has now been reached at the bargaining table with the Government of Ontario and the Ontario Public School Boards’ Association (OPSBA).
The tentative agreement must be approved by the OSSTF/FEESO local leaders before it gets presented to all members for ratification.
A meeting for the local leaders will be held at some point this week.

Education Minister Liz Sandals released a statement shortly after the tentative deal was announced.
“I am pleased to announce that a tentative agreement has been reached between the Ontario Secondary Schools Teachers’ Federation (OSSTF), the Ontario Public School Boards’ Association (OPSBA) and the Government of Ontario. Negotiations were challenging for all sides, but it speaks to the dedication and commitment of everyone involved that collaboration prevailed and a tentative agreement was reached. The tentative agreement must now be ratified and details of the agreement will not be shared until that time. We continue to negotiate with all other teachers’ and education workers’ unions at the central table and are committed to bargaining throughout the remaining weeks of the summer in order to reach agreements at all tables.”
