Justin Trudeau is promising that, if elected, the Liberal government would make it easier for Canadians to have flexible work hours to care for children or other loved ones. Trudeau says this policy would ensure that every employee covered by federal labour law would have the legal right to ask for changes in their workday start and finish times, or even the ability to work from home. He says the flexibility would come through amendments to the Canada Labour Code, and that he would also work with provincial and territorial governments to put the same rights into their own labour legislation.
Is this a game changer? Does this promise have you considering changing your vote?
