The family of 27 year old Kabil Abdulkhadir are appealing for witnesses to assist police in their investigation.
Abdulkhadir was killed around 2:45 a.m. on Sunday, August 9th outside of the Marriott Downtown Eaton Centre Hotel at Bay and Dundas.
Officers say the man was found outside the hotel suffering gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead on scene.
Investigators say they want to speak with associates of Abdulkhadir’s who were with him the evening of the shooting.
“With one case we have an absence of people coming forward and in the other we have people that have stepped up to the plate and exercised their due diligence,” says Sgt. Joyce Schertzer
Abdulkhadir’s family, originally from Somalia, says they’re looking for justice. Fouzia Hassan, Abdulkhadir’s mother, says “I lost my son. I want people to help me… I need help, please.”
Police have not released a suspect description at this time.
