The Ontario Liberals have now picked the candidate that will challenge provincial PC leader Patrick Brown for a seat in the legislature.
Fred Larsen will run for the Liberals in the riding of Simcoe North in the upcoming by-election.
Veteran Simcoe North Tory MPP Garfield Dunlop stepped aside last week to give an opportunity for Brown to run.
Premier Kathleen Wynne wasn’t planning on calling a by-election, but decided to once Patrick Brown expressed his disinterest for coetaneous federal election tactics that he believes is meant to mystify voters in his riding.
The provincial by-election will take place on Thursday, September 3rd.
