A press conference has been help in the wake of the latest theatre shooting in the United States.
A man armed with a hatchet, pepper spray and what is now believed to be a pellet gun walked into the theatre in Nashville Tennessee on Wednesday afternoon.
Once inside he began to spay the pepper spray at audience members before being shot dead by police as he tried to make his escape.
Three people suffered minor injuries in the attack, including one person who suffered a superficial wound, though to have been inflicted by the hatchet.
The suspect has since been named as Vincente David Montano of Nashville.
Police have also confirmed that the 29 year old had a history of “significant psychiatric or psychological issues”, having been committed four times for psychiatric treatment.
The attack comes less than two weeks after a gunman opened fire in a movie theatre in Lafayette, Louisiana, killing two people.
