Marco Estrada went 6 and two-thirds to get his 9th win on the year, and Roberto Osuna got his 8th save.
Both Josh Donaldson and Troy Tulowitzki hit solo homers.
The Jays are now 56 and 52 on the season, that puts them one game ahead of the Orioles for the last wild card spot. The Orioles were shut out by Oakland 5-0 on Tuesday.
The race is tight, with the Angels, Jays, Orioles, Twins Rays, and Rangers all within’ two games of each other.
The Jays are 7 and 3 in their last 10 and hope to improve on that mark against Twins again at the dome on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Aaron Sanchez has launched an appeal of his three-game suspension saying he didn’t intentionally throw at Kansas City Royals shortstop Alcides Escobar on the weekend.
