Prominent Canadian businessman John Bitove Sr. has died at the age of 87.
Bitove lived a legacy as a philanthropist who was a leading entrepreneur in the food industry.
He ran and operated a number of restaurants like Roy Rogers and Big Boy back in the 1970’s and would go on to gain the rights of catering at Pearson International airport and the Skydome, which is now known as Rogers Centre.
He received the Order of Canada in 1989 and won a number of awards.
His son John Bitove Jr. is also a successful businessman who helped bring the Raptors basketball team to Toronto.
