The auto industry is on the news.
Queens Park and Ottawa have announced that they are to provide Toyota Canada $101 million in order to protect 8000 Canadian jobs in its Woodstock and Cambridge plants.
Fiat Chrysler America has recalled 1.4 million vehicles for repair work and FCA must offer to buy back 500,000 Ram pickup trucks and other vehicles in the biggest such decision against and by an automaker in history.
This has to do with satisfying regulators and legal issues dealing with approximately two dozen recalls, FCA must also pay a $105 million fine.
Over 150,000 Canadian Fiat Chrysler vehicles are also affected, but no action like the one in the U.S. is taking place here yet.
