The pedestrian tunnel to Billy Bishop Airport has been finally completed and is set to open at 1:30 p.m. today.
Travellers can now begin using the new access walk way connected from the mainland to the island airport, which is 853 feet long and cost $82.5 million to build.
Ports Toronto reports the tunnel met all deadlines and is opening up on time.
Federal Transportation Minister Lisa Raitt will be on hand for the grand opening.
