A female passenger aboard a Porter flight this week said that she was asked to change seats to accommodate the religious beliefs of another passenger who refused to sit beside her. An Orthodox Jewish man was set to sit next to the woman but instead ignored her and asked other male passengers in the area if they would switch with him. Porter airline attendants asked if she would be willing to move but would not say the reason the request was made. At this point the woman realized that his issue was with the fact that she was a woman. She said that if he were to speak to her and make her aware of the situation rather than ignore her she would not have had a problem with it.
