With temperatures reaching the mid to high thirties all week thanks to the humidity, air conditioners are on full blast in offices across the city. Everyone has different tolerances for the frigid air blasting through the vents, but is there a gender divide on who feels what? A columnist for the Washington Post thinks there is. She wrote a piece on how most women leave their office in the summer to ‘defrost’ whereas men seen to be unfazed by the cold temperature of the workplace. Women tend to rely on cardigans and space heaters to brave the air conditioning in the summer months.
