The TTC confirms that service enhancements to some of the busiest bus and street car routes in the city will start this fall.
Speaking at Finch Station Monday morning, TTC Chair Josh Colle, alongside Mayor John Tory, says the improvements will be mean faster commute times for just about everyone “Customers will have shorter wait times of course, but a better chance of getting a seat on 33 of our busiest bus and street car routes.” Colle said.
The enhancements are part of a $95 million commitment to infrastructure made by the city.
The Mayor believes it was long overdue. “These service improvements are a reversal of the off-peak service cuts that were made under the previous administration” Tory said.
Riders can expect to see the improvements by September.
