Jays First basemen Chris Colabello called it special referring to serving up the winning runs in front of a large Canadian contingent from B.C.
It felt like a home game for the visitors as thousands made the trip down the I-5 to Safeco field for the second game of the weekend series between the Jays and Mariners.
Colabello’s single with the bases loaded in the ninth drove in two runs which downed Seattle 8 – 6 in front of 45,000 spectators.
Aaron Sanchez returned from the disabled list, to pitch the 8th inning, which allowed him to pick up his sixth win of the season.
Roberto Osuna closed the game with his fifth save in six tries.
