The contractor who built the Pan Am Stadium at York U is claiming they’re owed additional costs after month-long delays & ‘unforeseen’ work. The final amount, of course, will be kept from the taxpayers, but which they’ll most certainly be on the hook for. The contract was initially worth $206-million and awarded to Ontario Sports Solutions (ONSS) who filed a report in May 2014 saying additional costs & time were needed to complete the stadium. Should ONSS be compensated? Or should they have abided by their contract?
