Police and the Ministry of Transportation are investigating after a 60-year-old man was struck by a vehicle.
It happened around 10:15 a.m. Monday morning near The Queensway and Windermere Ave.
Const. Clint Stibbe says a truck was attempting to back up to a driveway just west of Windermere. As the vehicle was reversing, the man was struck by the vehicle and knocked to the ground.
He was transported to hospital in life threatening condition.
Officers are looking into whether or not the pedestrian or the driver was at fault, and are asking any witnesses to call 416-808-1900.
All affected roads have re-opened to traffic.
