Service is now being affected for several routes heading east and out of Toronto following a train derailment Saturday.
At around 2 o’clock a cargo train was derailed near Port Darlington in Bowmanville. No one was injured but several cars were removed from the tracks.
Brent Kossey with the Canadian National Railway says no dangerous goods were involved.
Passenger services between Montreal and Toronto, and Ottawa and Toronto has been suspended.
VIA says its currently arranging alternate transportation options for passengers, and full service is expected to resume in Sunday.
