A 91-year-old Ontario man living in a long-term care home has confessed to murdering a prostitute in London, England, in 1946.
Nearly on his death bed, the man wanted to clear his conscience, police sources said.
The unnamed man reportedly walked into his local police station and confessed.
Two Scotland Yard detectives flew to Canada to question him. The man picked out a photo of Margaret Cook — a 26-year-old prostitute whose murder outside a Carnaby St. club on Nov. 10, 1946, has never been solved.
No charges appear to have been laid, but British authorities reportedly began an extradition process with Canadian courts believing they have a realistic chance of conviction.
What do you think? Should he face justice in England? Are his age & condition mitigating factors?
