Now we turn to Bill Cosby.
Project 21 is described as a black conservative leadership network in the U.S. Project 21 is weighing in on the Cosby issue with this statement “The law should not treat Bill Cosby differently because he gave a speech.” The speech, according to Project 21, is the one Cosby gave in 2005, criticizing the “way many black parents rear their children.” The speech has become known as the “Pound Cake” speech.
Project 21 disagrees with the unsealing of the Cosby testimony about buying sedatives in order to allegedly have sex with (rape) women (“pandering to the media”) and question Cosby’s accusers—since none of them “saw fit to push for criminal charges when the events occurred. They made a personal and calculated decision to live with whatever transpired. It seems opportunistic to seek media headlines now.”
Most Reverend Council Nedd II is a Bishop and Rector, at St. Alban’s Anglican Church, Pine Grove Mills, PA. He is a member of Project 21.
