Walmart advising customers of their online Photocentre to monitor credit card transactions closely.
The mega retailer says credit card data may have been potentially compromised, after one of it websites operated by a third was hacked.
The website has been disabled, and Walmart spokespeople say there is no reason to believe in-store transnationals or those made from it’s main website have been affected.
The retail chain also notified the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, the body which investigates Canadian law relating to data privacy.
PNI Digital, the company that runs the online photo centre, did not respond to inquiries about the breach but said it was working closely with Walmart to resolve the issue.
