Millions of people will be watching around the world, as Toronto opens the 2015 Pan Am Games at 6:45 p.m. tonight.
Tickets for the ceremony will cost between $100.00 and $350.00.
Special guests will include star Canadian athletes who will be appearing alongside 625 performers from 25 different countries.
The ceremony is expected to last about two and a half hours and conclude at the Pan Am torch lights the iron cauldron, which is at the base of the CN Tower.
The fireworks set off from the CN Tower are part of the dress rehearsal for the Pan Am Games Opening Ceremony, as announced earlier today.
