Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Josh Donaldson has been voted in as a starter for the All-Star game.
This is now the second straight season that he’ll be starting for the American League after being traded to the Jays in the off-season.
Donaldson has set a new all-time record after receiving 14,090,188 votes, which surpasses Josh Hamilton of the Texas Rangers for the previous record back in 2012.
The 29-year-old has hit 19 homeruns and cashed in 56 runs for the Jays this season.
Toronto acquired Donaldson from Oakland in exchange for Langley City, B.C. native Brett Lawrie last fall.
The All-Star game is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, July 14th at 7 p.m. at the Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, Ohio.
