Canada’s most notorious killer and rapist has applied for day parole.
Paul Bernardo was convicted for the murders of teenagers Kristen French and Leslie Mahaffy back in 1995 and was sentenced to life with no parole for 25 years.
If he is indeed granted day parole, it would be served here in the Toronto area.
According to lawyer Daniel Brown, Bernardo’s chances are slim to none, considering the deadly deed he performed with ex-wife Karla Homolka.
Both murder-convicts also drugged Homolka’s 15-year-old sister Tammy, who was raped and would go on to die a short time later after choking on her vomit.
In 2006, Bernardo admitted to sexually assaulting at least 10 women before his arrest in 1992.
Homolka was released in 2005 after serving a 12-year sentence.
