Drivers won’t be able to use the Bloor Viaduct this weekend, but they’ll be treated to a new light show while driving underneath it.
On Saturday, the bridge portion between Parliament St. and Broadview will boast a “Luminous Veil” for the Pan Am Games.
The show cost $2.8 million in funding, and has been over 20 years in the works.
35,000 LED lights will be used for the show, which was designed by Dereck Revington.
The Pan Am relay torch is expected to be on site between 7 – 8 p.m. on Saturday, with the lighting ceremony scheduled for 10 p.m.
