Charges have been laid against a Toronto man after a deadly crash Monday night in Vaughan.
Police were called out to the Dufferin and Steeles area around 6 p.m., after a southbound vehicle collided with another vehicle in an intersection. The southbound vehicle then continued forward and collided with 2 cyclists and a light pole.
One of the cyclists, a 47 year old woman from Richmond Hill, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other cyclist, a 55 year old Richmond Hill man, was taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the vehicle, 34 year old Olumide Banjo has been charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death and dangerous operation of a vehicle causing bodily harm.
Banjo is due in court in August.
